IF - Punchline
Why did the chicken cross the road? To get into the punch line of course!
Everyone loves fruit punch.

Hehe, I've got similar kind of punch line, too :)
Your combination with the chicken is great. I like the little feather in the middle of the road.
lol very nice idea and illustration
:-D
Love your carnival, the characters in the line and most of all the appealing chicken!
the chicken is really popular!I love the whole composition and the advertising ''...here''placaje idea!!
So clever... I love this! =)
haha - great idea!
Hee hee, good one! I did a punch line too, but love how you combined a punchline with a punch line, heeeeeee! Very clever, and cute as all get out.
very nice.
that is to say "awesome work"
I like the wonky quality of the shapes- your illustration seems to be made of weathered pieces of tin- that somehow fit well together
I like the blue wood- unusual choice!
Great take on the "Punchline" theme! Really dig your illustration style, and humor!
Oh, I love this! Could you maybe do a tutorial on how to do these textures in your backgrounds? I'm so clueless to all this stuff!!!! I really like the touch of the feather in the road...kind of a hint of what may come to poor old chicken!
Hmm I keep trying to comment on this post but blogger keeps rejecting me?!?
YEAH a chicken illo by Pickledog!!! Of course I LOVE it...it is so cute.
Oh and thanks for the tip on the awesome website with all the Re-Ment miniatures. So lucky you guys have a store like that!
beautiful!
I like how you come up with such great solutions. How do you go about creating your images it's a very interesting technique.
Love the illo. Fun idea. You know I can really see the color balance you use in your illos in this. Excellent work David!!!
Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments!
There has been a little bit of interest into how I create my illos. I will see what I can do over the summer in the way of a little demo.
what is cuter and more humorous than the little feather lying in the road? Really funny.
Your work has a great mix of a feeling of naive (without being naive, clearly!) and cartoony-old timey comfort, all while bringing your signature unique, contemporary, wacky point of view. Like the yellow sky, for instance. Its so odd but it works well!!!
:)
Refreshing and wonderful!
haha thats a great illustration! I love your chicken and the ferris wheel and everything! good idea for the yellow sky as well, it looks very happy and fun!
I don't get it.
Wait! Okay, I get it.
