IF - Punchline

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get into the punch line of course!

Everyone loves fruit punch.

Hehe, I've got similar kind of punch line, too :)
Your combination with the chicken is great. I like the little feather in the middle of the road.

very nice.
that is to say "awesome work"

I like the wonky quality of the shapes- your illustration seems to be made of weathered pieces of tin- that somehow fit well together

I like the blue wood- unusual choice!

Oh, I love this! Could you maybe do a tutorial on how to do these textures in your backgrounds? I'm so clueless to all this stuff!!!! I really like the touch of the feather in the road...kind of a hint of what may come to poor old chicken!

I like how you come up with such great solutions. How do you go about creating your images it's a very interesting technique.

Love the illo. Fun idea. You know I can really see the color balance you use in your illos in this. Excellent work David!!!

Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments!

There has been a little bit of interest into how I create my illos. I will see what I can do over the summer in the way of a little demo.

what is cuter and more humorous than the little feather lying in the road? Really funny.

Your work has a great mix of a feeling of naive (without being naive, clearly!) and cartoony-old timey comfort, all while bringing your signature unique, contemporary, wacky point of view. Like the yellow sky, for instance. Its so odd but it works well!!!
