IF - Robot

"Why would someone design a robot to be a criminal?" The answer is a complex and paranoid robot plot. Humans design and build robots that develop higher intelligence. They see humans as imperfect and decide to destroy the obsolete life forms. The robots do eventually learn that chaos is a necessary part of existence, but only after all the humans are gone from the perfectly dull robot cities. So to spice things up the robots start to design robot disturbers to give jobs to all the out of work Police-Bots, and Lawyer-Bots. It's sort of like when the Terminator learns to say "talk to the hand."
Do people still say that?

This is very clever and the text is quite believeable. I hope the robot doesn't come my way.... if chaos is a clue, my office would be a target for sure.

And yes, Penny's Ice Pod comes loaded with Vanilla Ice as well as Cool J and Ice T

Very cool illo David!! This reminds me of that cartoon series called C.O.P.S. But in that the characters were cyborgs (except the dog).

You've gotten really deep in your explanation as well. Did someone stay up late watching a marathon of the Terminator films followed by a dash of The 6th Day? I personally think that humans WILL indeed be wiped out by robots, but it'll be more like 'Maximum Overdrive,' where a comet enters Earth's atmosphere causing all mechanical devices to turn on their owners. My PowerMac G5 tower can't wait for the opportunity to make me its slave. I think that's why it revs up every hour or so. Or is that just shoddy craftsmanship?

Do Police Robots need Billy-Bats?
Well not really, but without Billy-Bats all of the millions of dollars spent developing the Billy-Bat Driver 9.0 software would seem like a silly waste of robot tax dollars. Hey!?

I love the old-timey cops and robbers feel to this piece. Very cool robots indeed... and on the "Talk to the Hand" thing...I don't know if you're a "Simpsons" fan or not, but they made a call once about a possible sitcom called "Talk to the Hand" starring David Faustino of "Married with Children" fame.....
