IF - Sacrifice

I'm back from a week of rest and relaxation which has created a bit of creative rust on my drawin' arm this week. After missing last weeks Illustration Friday topic I am fighting to get back into form and this week's topic (sacrifice) proved to be a challenge for me.

As a couple going to the movies sometimes results in somebody's movie tastes being sacrificed. My wife and I try to keep it as painless as possible for each other, but every once and a while...

Hilarious, and I can relate. Who hasn't watched something horrible like say, "Battlefield Earth" for the sake of their hubby?

I'm still struggling with this topic. I love what you've done here....so perfectly drawn. Good use of monochromatic scheme as well!

That is brilliant David! Wicked pisser! I love the emotion that you've captured in the 2 frames. This works on so many levels! It's nice to see that you take one in the chin to please your "preciousssssss."

I think I own like two movies that could be considered "chick flicks." The rest have to do with comedy, sports, fantasy, space, history and war. And if it's a REALLY good movie, it has all of that stuff combined!!! Hey, it keeps ME sane!

And yeah, who doesn't like "fat hobbitssssss"?

This is great! For us, these are the looks when she takes me to a clothing store (yawn). I get her back by taking her to CompUSA or BestBuy.

LOL! I know just what you mean.
What would her t-shirt say at her favorite movie?

Smooch,

Her T-Shirt would most likely say something like "Jersey Girl" or "Punch it Chewy!" or "I Heart Mark Darcy."

References to Jersey Girl (twice) and Bridget Jones Diary 1 or 2
